Stereotytans Bacchanal Music and Cosplay Fest at Kung Fu Necktie July 8th

...taking both Earth and Olympus by storm!

Bacchanal is a celebration of Bacchus, the Old Goat, who was known to loosen the chains of social restraints; hence the namesake of these riotous, pleasure-filled gatherings. And who best to continue the tradition of Bacchus in these modern times, you ask? Why, none other than the Stereotytans, of course! The Greek-mythology-inspired, comic-book-havin’, hard rock band, is taking both Earth and Olympus by storm and are putting together a party fit for Tytans and Demigods alike. This all ages musical festival and cosplay competition held at Kung Fu Knecktie July 8 from 2-8pm will bring together a cornucopia of musical styles and pop culture, brought to you by artists hailing from all corners of the greater Philadelphia area, and BEYOND! Participants are encourage to wear a toga or cosplay! Teyquil of Arc Radio, Arcadia University will be Masters of Ceremonies.

Musical Acts:

Your earholes will be filled to brimming by the hip hop flows of JUS SPELLS; the folky stylings of KAYTRONALIA; alternative rock of OBSERVE THE 93RD; the aggressive, thought-provoking metal of NEGATIVE SKY; the gritty, raw, bluesy-soul rock of ILL FATED NATIVES; and the elemental, musical superpowers of the musical experience that is STEREOTYTANS.

Cosplay Competition:

The Bacchanal Cosplay Competition will also take place during Bacchanal, making it a one-of-a-kind fusion of art and music event. Competitors will enter into one of the following categories: Hero, Villain, or Group. Though, participating in one of the individual categories (Heroes or Villain) does not mean s/he is excluded from competing in the group category.  The competition will be hosted and judged by Philadelphia’s finest—Jason Richardson of J1 Studios and J1 Con SiddeeQah Love of Cosplay Philadelphia and If We Sew Love. There are amazing prizes for the winners such as a photo shoot with Hampton Impressions; custom wig or cosplay from Cosplay Philadelphia; gift certificates to JuJu Salon and Amalgam Comics & Coffehouse; 1-hour massage with Full Circle Aesthetics; and much more! Of course no cosplay event would be complete without comic books; Amalgam Comics & Coffehouse collections will be made available during the event.
