Riot Radar: Upcoming Releases 11/2 – 11/6

“You want a piece of this, Pops?”

Welcome to Riot Radar, a weekly column detailing new releases in music, movies and games for the upcoming week.

An extremely slow week for games, the calm between holiday season juggernauts in last week’s Halo 5 and next week’s Fallout 4. My diagnosis? Play more Transformers Devastation. Trust me, I’m a Doctor.

Blu Ray

Two of our favorite movies of the year (so far, anyway) hit home video this week with Pixar’s outstanding Inside Out  and the Jason Segel and Jesse Eisenberg starring Oscar bait true story The End of the Tour.

90’s alternative queen Bjork strikes back with Vulnicura Strings, a stripped down companion piece to her original Vulnicura record released in January, and long lived UK crust/grind pioneers Extreme Noise Terror unleash more of their trademark extreme noise terror on… uh… Extreme Noise Terror!

In Theaters

Lots to choose from at the multiplex this week, as baby stealing fairies (yes, really) terrorize the Irish countryside in The Hallow, an evil tractor trailer is on the loose in the ridiculous looking Duel/Maximum Overdrive riff Wrecker, and on the less silly side of things, Bryan Cranston (with Louis C.K.!) battles the real life communist witch hunts in 1940’s Hollywood as Trumbo.
