Preview: Burlesque and Punk against Trump: Upstairs at The Barbary 1/20/17

Plus a YUUUGE Raffle to benefit Planned Parenthood!

It’s almost the end of January and you know what that means, we’re saying goodbye to our cool President who likes Star Wars and has a fun dog and saying hello to a fucking asshole orange skinned communist cocksucker who nobody actually voted for, and his inbred Anderson Cooper looking homophobe cabana boy, not to mention an entire cabinet full of shit heels who probably couldn’t keep their money out of the negative on Celebrity Jeopardy. Don’t take it lying down though!

Upstairs at The Barbary on Friday night we are presenting BURLESQUE AND PUNK AGAINST TRUMP! Local female led power popsters The Up Up Ups, Brooklyn riot grrl/noise outfit Kino Kimino and super powered Philly burlesque collective The Bare And The Bold lead the charge with a peaceful, nonviolent night of entertainment celebrating acceptance, open mindedness and the broadening of horizons in the face of crippling, Orwellian oppression.

In that vein, we at Riot Nerd have amassed an enormous amount of amazing prizes curated from the coolest and most unique local businesses, all to be raffled off with 100% of the proceeds going to Planned Parenthood. It’s a huge raffle. The biggest. I’ve seen it. It’s tremendous.

Join us Upstairs at The Barbary on Friday night!
